Decorative boxes are a perfect way to showcase a fun gift. Not only will it hold your gift, but it can also be used as a storage box once the gift has been removed. These boxes can be as simple or as decorative as you like. They’ll definitely give the gift recipient “all the feels.” Trust me, you’ll be the envy of all gift givers this season! Instead of giving into grabbing a bunch of gift bags this season, grab some nesting boxes and a few gorgeous knobs and try this gifting alternative below.”
- Nesting Boxes or Paper Mache Boxes
- Tape Measure or Ruler
- Pencil
- Drill
- 1/8 and 5/32 drill bits
- Decorative Knobs
All of these materials can be found at local craft stores like Hobby Lobby, Anthropologie, or Michaels.
- Use your tape measure or ruler and pencil to mark the center of your box.
- Remove your lid and use your drill to drill a hole into the center of the lid at the place you marked.
- Push the knob through the hole.
- Secure the knob
- Fill your box with goodies!
Optional: Wrap your box prior to drilling your hole.
