Learn why you should Drink Lemon Water


I've never been a fan of drinking just a plain glass of water. I find it well, too boring for my taste. This is why I always find it hard to drink the recommended amount of glasses in an entire day. Thankfully, I can easily spice it up with slices of lemon or cucumber. Everyday, my morning routine involves me drinking a cup of coffee. It is my energizer for the day. However, studies have shown that it may be more beneficial to drink warm water with a slice of lemon instead. Here's why:

  • The combination of lemon and water flushes out toxins in your liver. The lemon provides the alkaline that helps to balance out your body's PH levels.
  • Before eating breakfast, you can stimulate your digestive tract with just a glass. It helps to improve your body's ability to absorb nutrients through food.
  • A glass of warm water with lemon also helps curb appetite, thus aiding in weight loss.
  • It helps to soothe an upset tummy especially if you feel a little bit bloated or uneasy from the night before.
