“Fall is here and I could not be more excited about it!  Orange leaves everywhere, cozy sweaters, thanksgiving, rainy days and fall fashion are definitely something to look forward to, don’t you think?

Rain boots have definitely become my favorite piece this fall.  Yes, they can be pricey.  However, I think investing in a good pair of rain boots is a must; especially because they can very easily be worn all year round.  This is how I plan to make the best out of mine:

1. Rain boots meet classy

Mix it up a little bit, who says rain boots can only be worn with tights and jeans?! In fact, if you ask me rain boots look so much cuter when paired with a nice skirt or dress.  So ladies, think feminine, grab your favorite summer dress and have fun dressing up!

2. Layer up.

Fall is the perfect season to mix and match patterns and colors.  Pair your rain boots with pattern dress shirts, oversized sweaters and fun scarves to ensemble an effortless yet well put together outfit.

3.  The Umbrella

An umbrella is as much part of your outfit as a handbag.  So, think of your much needed umbrella on a rainy day as the accessory that will accentuate you from the crowd.  Choose one with fun patterns and/or bright colors that go well with your rain boots!

4. Trench coats

It is my very personal belief that trench coats are rain boots’ best friend.  Trench coats are very versatile, they help turn plain outfits into well thought out ensembles.  Though they tend to be on the expensive side, they are worth the investment.

5. Color.

Lastly, don’t be afraid of color.  After all, rain boots are a fun fashion trend.  Whether you use them to keep your feet dry on a rainy day or to keep you cozy on a fall afternoon, don’t be so quick to disregard colorful rain boots.  Take risks, have fun with them and make a fashion statement with a pair of bright red, pink or yellow rain boots!”
